The 2nd cohort of UFO funded projects have successfully reached the final stage.
This time, the final reporting had an extra joyful flavor, as we had had the pleasure of meeting in person the representatives of the UFO selected SMEs, during the UFO Showcase Event in London, on the 29th of November 2022. They inspired us with their pitches and the showcase of their innovative solutions. It was really great to see all our projects together.
We now enjoy an even wider range of new demonstrators and feasibility results that bring innovation closer to the market, integrating new technological solutions and know-how provided by Small Flying Objects (Drones, High Altitude Platform Systems and Small Satellites), related embedded digital technologies, Key Enabling Technologies (microelectronics, nanotechnologies, photonics etc.), data analysis and relevant applications, while answering the challenges of 6 Emerging Industries: Blue Growth, Digital Creative & Gaming, Mobility, Climate, Environment and Finance & Insurance.
As a reminder: the selected projects received up to €60,000 for feasibility and up to €150,000 for demonstration projects, alongside technical support from industry experts and business mentoring, networking, access to funding to support the project sustainability and market realisation. They have participated in international events and conferences, showcasing their results and creating new opportunities, among which we name: The International Astronautical Congress in Paris, France, ScaleUP2022 Conference in Sofia,Bulgaria, Cluj Innovation Days 2022 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and the UFO Final Showcase Event in London, UK.
